Jewelry Books

Jewelry Books

I’m often asked if there are any jewelry books I recommend. I thought I’d get off my lazy… well anyway, here’s a couple of books that have been helpful to me.

Rings

If you are satisfied with a plain band in your life, you will never step out. If you want to step out, but don’t know how, I’ve got good news; there’s lots of help available.

Saddle Up!

I find that the forces at work in and on my life have made me stronger. Stronger mentally, stronger spiritually, and they used to make me stronger physically. (Now they just make me want coffee…)

Who’s Your Tribe?

Humanity has long used symbols to convey meanings, thoughts, concepts and membership. When you see certain symbols, you know what group someone belongs to. A contemporary example is street gangs with colors and gang signs. It shows belonging. I once had a kid tell me he joined a gang because it was safer than his home… We’ll do anything to belong.

Make Mine Turquoise

I love turquoise. I want more turquoise. I love cutting and polishing it and making jewelry out of it. I’ve been fortunate to have had a couple of friends give me some turquoise over the course of the years, and that makes it very special.

Ahh, Spring!

In reality, every day is a new beginning; every day is a fresh start. When you start to live your life with those thoughts in mind, you will have a more productive day, week, year, life.

Talking Stones

Most people, like most rocks, fall somewhere in between treasure and paper weight. All of which keeps me coming back for more, whether it’s rocks or people.

Keum Boo

The ancient Koreans believed gold had healing properties. The wealthy would have eating utensils made out of gold so when the food touched the gold, the health qualities would be passed on to the diner.
