Handmade Jewelry Expert
I’ll be heading to Dallas on Wednesday to teach at Bead Fest Texas!
Well…plating copper jewelry was a great insight for me. I’ve avoided copper in the past for most things because I had to EXACTLY solder the joint perfect and oxidize the piece slightly. You can get so many beautiful colors out of copper and I’ve been ignorant of the fact you can plate it easily. I’ve been making Jewelry since 1965 or so and never knew this. I was a goldsmith and Diamond setter for 40 years and have 3000 hours of Freehand engraving practice but you just taught me something that opens up my potential greatly. Old dog and new tricks time. It’s just proof that you can keep learning from all communication skills with other artists. Thank you a lot for your site and inspiring others as you do.
